For Humanity’s Sake: Pope Leo XIV & the AI Revolution
Sunday, Sept 20, 6:15 pm
Lecture Hall and Livestream
This multi-sided conversation focuses on Magnifica Humanitas—the pope’s long-anticipated response to the breakneck advance of artificial intelligence. Together with Wendell Wallach, MEd; Fr. Andrea Vicini, SJ, MD; and John Pittard, PhD, we will explore the ethical, theological, and human implications of AI and reflect on how emerging technologies can serve the common good in light of Catholic social teaching.
All are welcome to participate in this timely and thought-provoking conversation.
Fall Lecture Series
Our fall programs will focus on Pope Leo's new encyclical on artificial intelligence, St. Augustine of Hippo (AD 354–430)—one of history’s greatest teachers and a titan of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition—among other timely and important topics.
