STM SOUP KITCHEN

FOOD RESCUE FOR SOUP KITCHEN
Help us rescue leftover food from the dining halls to support our soup kitchen and promote sustainability in our community! We pick up food every Monday from 9 am to 12 pm. Contact: Allan.Esteron@yale.edu
SOLIDARITY IN THE CITY
Students are encouraged to do at least one hour of service per week at a community partner site within New Haven, followed by a monthly gathering over dinner hosted by an assistant chaplain. During this meeting, students are guided through reflections on Catholic Social Teaching bringing together faith, service, and social justice.

FINGER KNITTING & QUILTING GROUP
This group meets about twice a month to knit and quilt for a good cause. Blankets are donated to the Yale Hospital NICU and the St. Gianna Pregnancy Resource Center.

Want to make an impact on those affected by disasters, poverty, hunger, and climate change in other countries? In solidarity with others, join us in advocacy, awareness campaigns, and fundraising as we partake in the mission of Catholic Relief Services, the international humanitarian arm of the US Catholic Church.

HOSPITAL EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Participate in this ministry of caring for the sick by bringing communion to patients at Yale Hospital (either the York street or Chapel Street location). Participants must go through a 20-minute training session with Assistant Chaplain, Pauline Little. This is open to students and community members. Contact: Pauline.Little@yale.edu
REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROJECT
In collaboration with IRIS, STM has successfully resettled several refugee families. Would you be willing to support our ongoing efforts whenever IRIS requests our assistance?
