Giving to STM

Support STM: Invest in the Future

Your gift to STM directly supports our mission to accompany Yale students as they grow into a mature, thoughtful, and lifelong Catholic faith. STM is more than a campus ministry—it is a spiritual home where students are invited to pray deeply, think critically, serve generously, and build lasting community.

Sunday Offertory

Provides for the liturgical life of STM, including sacred vessels, vestments, music, and all that is needed to celebrate the Mass and sacraments with beauty and reverence.

Soup Kitchen Fund

Sustains STM’s Wednesday Soup Kitchen, which serves over 600 members of the New Haven community each week from October through April, offering nourishment, hospitality, and dignity to all who come.

Chaplain’s Discretionary Fund
Allows the Chaplain to respond directly to students in need, offering timely support and assistance during moments of financial hardship or personal difficulty.

Your support allows students to grow in their faith through transformative experiences, deepen their understanding of Catholic teaching, and build a sense of community among Catholics at Yale.

MONTHLY ONLINE GIVING

STM’s recurring monthly giving option makes it easy to maximize your generosity. With convenient monthly deductions from your credit card, savings or checking account, you can support STM throughout the year. Rather than making a one-time gift, your contribution is automatically charged each month—all while retaining the same tax-deductible benefits.

LEGACY GIVING

Many companies support charitable giving through matching gift programs, often matching employee donations dollar for dollar—and sometimes even doubling or tripling the amount. Check with your Human Resources department to see if your gift can go even further.

Bequests and Wills
The simplest way to make a planned gift is by naming STM in your will. A bequest is a meaningful way to support our work without affecting your cash flow during your lifetime. Your attorney can include it when you prepare or revise your will or you can add a codicil at any time.

Careful and creative gift and estate planning can maximize the impact of your philanthropy through the development of an individualized approach that complements your financial, tax, and estate situation. You can make a lasting impact on STM, empowering future generations of Catholic students both on Yale’s campus and out in the wider world, while also meeting your family and financial goals.
