Fr. Joe first heard the call to priesthood in high school and entered seminary after earning a BA in Classics and Catholic Studies from the College of the Holy Cross. He studied philosophy and theology at Theological College and the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and then completed an STB at the Pontifical Gregorian University and an STL in Theology and Patristic Sciences at the Pontifical Patristics Institute in Rome. He has served in parishes across Connecticut and most recently as parochial vicar of Blessed Michael McGivney Parish in New Haven. A lifelong musician, Fr. Joe also enjoys traveling and all things fitness.

Fr. Greg comes from a long line of Texans and grew up in Dallas. He graduated with a BA in English from Yale (Branford College) in 1984 and, after a year as a lay volunteer in Peru, completed a master’s in journalism at Northwestern. In 1989 he entered the Society of Jesus at Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Jesuit formation took him to New Orleans, Tampa, Rome, and Boston, before his ordination to the priesthood in 1999. An art historian, Fr. Greg earned his PhD from UC Berkeley, with a focus on the Italian Renaissance, and has taught at Fordham University in New York and Loyola University New Orleans. Fr. Greg is an avid reader, and he enjoys traveling and cooking. 

SOUP KITCHEN, GRAD & POSTDOCS

Allan is a native of the Philippines. He earned his MA in Religious Education from Fordham University and a BA in Philosophy from Saint Francis Major Seminary, Philippines. While in the Philippines, he was a lecturer, retreat facilitator, and campus minister.

At STM, he leads the graduate ministry, STM Soup Kitchen, multicultural ministries (Asian, AfAm, LGBTQ+), Yale’s Catholic Relief Services Chapter, Solidarity in the City, refugee resettlement, and ESTEEM. Allan lives in Milford with wife Donna and their two children. When not at STM, he enjoys playing guitar, beach outings, hiking, and table tennis. Allan is always eager to connect with students.

Pauline was born in the Philippines and grew up in the West Coast. She has worked in campus ministry at DePaul, Loyola Chicago and Fordham. Most recently she spent five years as a clinical chaplain at Yale Hospital. She earned a master's degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Dayton and is a board-certified chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. She is also a spiritual director and continues to serve in that capacity through the Annand Program for Spiritual Formation with the Berkley Divinity School at Yale.

At STM, Pauline leads the graduate ministry, reading groups, Confirmation, Solidarity in the City, and accompanies students on spring immersion trips. She enjoys spending time with her husband, reading at coffeeshops, visiting family in Chicago, traveling, hiking, and listening to podcasts. 

UNDERGRADUATES, OCIA, ESTEEM

Sister Mary Rose hails from the great state of Nebraska in the heartland of the US. She earned a BA in social work at the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she first encountered consecrated religious life. She moved to Connecticut in 2018 to begin formation with the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. In 2025, she completed her master's in theology with a concentration in Sacred Scripture at Holy Apostles College and Seminary.

At STM, she serves as Assistant Chaplain to the undergraduates and coordinates the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and (Engaging Students to Enliven the Ecclesial Mission) ESTEEM programs. Outside of the office, Sister Mary Rose enjoys time with her Sisters, working the machines on the land, caring for the animals, and sewing. 

Damon is from the Washington, DC region. He was received into the Catholic Church at STM under the guidance of Fr. Bob Beloin while pursuing his Master of Arts in Religion at Yale Divinity School. He earned his PhD in Theology at the University of Notre Dame. He previously served as an educator and in campus ministry for students at Notre Dame and Duquesne University and for seniors at The Academy of the Holy Cross and Georgetown Preparatory School.

At STM, Damon oversees Undergraduate Men's Spirituality and leads Centering Prayer. He loves to explore new places, spend time in nature, lift weights, meditate, read widely, and have deep conversations.

CHAPLAINCY FELLOW

Alfredo Cordero is a recent graduate of Yale Divinity School, where he earned a Master of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Religion and the Arts. A filmmaker from Mexico City, his work explores the intersections of spirituality, culture, storytelling, and community life. During his time at Yale, he served as president of La Comunidad, the Hispanic and Latino affinity group at Yale Divinity School, and participated in interreligious and arts-based initiatives across campus. He joined STM as Chaplaincy Fellow in fall 2026.
