Fall 2023 Magazine

In this issue of STM Magazine, we explore the theme of thresholds. We invite you to join us on a journey of transition, transformation, and new beginnings as we enter the next century of Catholic campus ministry. Crossing a threshold, as STM Executive Director Joe Connolly writes in “Final Word,” implies that every step in the journey, from making new friends to deepening one's faith, has the potential to be a sacred and transformative experience.

"Faith in the Real World" takes us from Taizé in France to Corrymeela, Northern Ireland, where Paul Lee ’18 shares about his life as a graduate student at The Ecumenical Communities of Peace and Reconciliation Center in Northern Ireland. Paul's story is a testament to the impact STM can have on a student’s faith life and the liberating power of crossing a threshold.

Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce Finding God on Park Street, our new podcast that premiered this semester. We encourage you to tune in and join our hosts in their conversations with STM alums, students, Yale Catholic faculty, and STM staff as they share the nuances of living out the Catholic faith in today's world.

As we celebrate the beginning of our second century of Catholic ministry at Yale, let's remember that life is a series of thresholds to be crossed, each offering new perspectives and growth. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
