This year, we proudly award the Saint Thomas More Medal
to Professor Paul Kennedy.
Paul faithfully attends Mass at Saint Thomas More and
is a longtime member of the Saint Thomas More Board
of Trustees, where he provides wise counsel and support.
He was a founding member of the Saint Thomas More
Soup Kitchen, which has served over 270,000 meals
since its inception, and will soon begin its 41st
year of service to our community.
Professor Kennedy is the J. Richardson Dilworth Professor
of History, Director of International Security Studies at
Yale, and Distinguished Fellow of the Brady-Johnson Program
in Grand Strategy. He is internationally known and respected
for his writings and commentaries on global political,
economic, and strategic issues and is the author of nineteen
books. His best-known work is The Rise and Fall of the Great
Powers, a widely read and influential treatise which has
been translated into more than 20 languages.
It is with deep gratitude and respect, that Saint Thomas
More recognizes Professor Kennedy’s remarkable
contributions by bestowing upon him the
Saint Thomas More Medal.
