Third Station: Jesus Falls for the First Time
Here we see Christ, God incarnated physically as a human, in a moment of weakness and vulnerability. Here, Christ has tripped and fallen. Consider how
this imperfection draws us to Christ's humanity. Look to Christ's face, and the struggle reflected in it. Look to Christ's hands as they cling to the cross. See how they are straining to hold its weight. Here, we are asked to reach out and assist Christ -- but he must keep going. Reflect upon how this calls us to compassion and empathy.
How does Christ's human imperfections bring me into closer relationship with him?

Fourth Station: Jesus Meets His Mother
The downcast visage of Christ is striking. His right hand rests at an uncomfortable angle, and his body strains forward in fatigue. As his eyes close, the hand of another softly rests against the cross. Mother Mary lifts up her cloak and gazes upon Christ. Her presence is understanding. Her hand almost comes into contact with her Beloved Son, so close yet so far.
The Blessed Mother reminds us of the people in our lives who strive to accept us and our individual struggles. The are the ones who lift us up and grace us with their wisdom and love.
How do I gracefully accept help from others?
